SOCIAL ISSUES

  • There is low incentive for both buyers and sellers to engage in the school secondhand textbooks markets due to inconvenience and inefficiency
  • The prices of textbooks from second-hand textbook stores are fluctuated and the information is not transparent

SOCIAL INNOVATION

  • Develop and launch an online (web and mobile app) platform for selling and buying intra-school second-hand textbooks by using the in-app chat room

EXCEPTED SOCIAL IMPACT

150 secondary school students will use the platform for second-hand book transaction
1,500 used textbooks will be transacted through the platform
3 secondary schools will be partnered with the platform to facilitate intra-school second-hand book transactions
