All-round

Incubation

Support

Impact Incubator will organise user-engagement sessions in collaboration with NGO partners and relevant beneficiary groups. We aim to connect relevant incubatees with potential users to collect their feedback, so that this community outreach can enhance the projects’ feasibility and refine the proposed solution.

Impact Incubator’s pool of experienced business, sector and topic experts and senior executives will offer strategic advice and hands-on solutions. We will match our consultants to our incubatees’ specific needs during their entire funding period. Our consultants will help address a broad range of needs, such as business or operational planning issues, branding and marketing strategy and implementation, impact assessment, finance and audit risks, connecting to potential partners and beneficiaries etc.

Impact Incubator will organise a series of networking events and activities, to connect and link incubatees to funders, NGOs, social enterprises, corporates and professional experts. These will comprise social mixers, social innovation networking events and pitching events.

The latest trends and information of selected topics will be shared during some of these sessions. These sessions are generally open to grantees from Impact Incubator and other SIEF Intermediaries. Through these networking sessions, we also aim to connect incubatees to useful resources and business partners.

Potential funders will also be invited to specific events, such as pitching events, so that incubatees can gain relevant exposure to fundraising.

Impact Incubator regularly organises different skills-based business clinics and training for our incubatees. Members from the general public can also participate, although we prioritise our incubatees for these sessions.

Business Clinic

Based on our incubatees’ specific needs and sector trends, Impact Incubator will organise different topical business clinics and training sessions. These generally comprise legal, accounting and financial management, marketing and branding, impact assessment, specific market or technology trends relevant to our ecosystem.

Report Tutorials

These tutorial classes allow incubatees to better understand the progress reports and financial reporting requirements and format, as required by the SIE Fund. These classes will share specific insights.

Incubatees must attend at least one business clinic and one report tutorial during their funding periods.

Impact Incubator will provide resources to incubatees to demonstrate and articulate their projects’ impact to their stakeholders (funders, collaboration partners, beneficiaries or governance team). These resources comprise written or visual story telling, or social impact assessment.

The Impact Incubator team will provide constant support and tutorial classes to the incubatees. Based on incubatees’ specific needs, we will aim to refer incubatees to useful resources, such as company secretarial services, audit firms and other relevant business networks.

Suitable incubatees may be featured in the HKCSS Channel, which will be shared with our members, partners and collaborators. We will also invite suitable incubatees to attend various events organised by HKCSS and the SIE Fund Secretariat to present their projects and exchange with other related stakeholders. We will also share incubatees’ key features and updates with our major partners, either via our website or other on-line channels.
